Lifextender is an extremely simple application that works to remove adverts and commercials from TV broadcasts, and is specifically for users of Windows Vista. Lifextender requires no configuration to work correctly, but numerous options exist if you want to adjust it.



Lifextender works very simply. Every certain amount of time the program examines the directory where Windows Vista Media Center records TV broadcasts. All the new TV programs recorded are analyzed to detect adverts and publicity. Once finished, it creates a new file and eliminates that publicity, reducing the size by up to 25%. The original program or TV broadcast is automatically substituted by the new one without adverts.
